Compare
Dicte Send compared with US document-sharing tools
On the criteria that matter to a professional in France or the EU: where the data lives, who operates the service, where the AI runs, what it costs. Facts, sources, dates.
How this comparison was made
"US document-sharing tools" designates DocSend, a product of Dropbox, Inc., which the market uses as the reference. Its column is described only from its public documentation, with a source and a date per cell; Dicte Send's column is described from the product. DocSend does its job well: mature sharing, rooms, analytics and integrations. The difference is where the data and the AI live, and under which law.
Criterion by criterion
Every cell about the other tool carries its source and the date it was read.

When another tool may suit you better
Honest answers save everyone time.
You live in the Dropbox ecosystem
Native import and sync from Dropbox, Gmail and Outlook extensions and Salesforce sync exist there; Dicte Send offers webhooks and an API instead.
Your counterparties are US-only
If sovereignty does not matter to your deal and your agreements rely on US e-signature law, a US tool is a fine choice.
You need a standalone e-signature today
Dicte Send signs NDAs at the gate; a certified electronic signature is coming, without a date.
You need single sign-on with your identity provider
Not offered at launch; two-factor authentication and workspace roles are.
How switching works
Export your documents
Download your files from your current tool; your links and rooms will be rebuilt, not migrated.
Upload and organise
Drop the files in folders, set your workspace branding, invite your team.

Create your standard link settings, build one room, clone it for the others.

Questions about the comparison
Is Dicte Send the same thing as DocSend?
It serves the same needs, links, rooms and analytics, with a different answer to where the data and the AI live. It is a separate product by a separate company.
Can I import my DocSend content?
Download your documents and upload them; links and rooms are rebuilt in Dicte Send. There is no automatic import.
May you use their name?
Naming a product to compare it factually is lawful. We use no logo, only public documentation, with a source and a date, and we correct any error reported to us.
Do you compare other European tools?
Not yet. Each comparison needs a maintained, sourced page; we add them one at a time.
